Dr. Fawaz is originally from Damascus and attended medical school at Aleppo University. He moved to the United States over 30 years ago and has been a psychiatrist in private practice for more than 25 years. He has held several leadership positions in the U.S. and has supported numerous humanitarian organizations focused on Syria. He currently serves on the board of C4SSA.
