Born and raised in Damascus, Syria, Hanan immigrated to the US following the uprising and the start of Assad’s war against the Syrian people in 2012. With a deep commitment to helping build the foundation for a free and democratic Syria, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Law and Governance from Montclair State University. Hanan remains dedicated to Syrian advocacy—using storytelling, public engagement, and policy messaging to ensure that freedom, justice, and human dignity are at the core of the country’s future.
