Trump, in which he pledged to lift all U.S. sanctions on Syria — a bold and visionary decision that marks a major step toward lasting peace, justice, and renewal in the region.
In his powerful remarks, President Trump recognized the will of the Syrian people and expressed hope in the new Syrian government’s ability to lead the country with stability, unity, and dignity. He declared his intention to end the sanctions regime in order to “give them a chance at greatness.”
